Groups

Have you ever wanted to know what type of car is selling on your lot?
Have you ever wanted to know what type of car or truck you make the most money on?

The group field is the answer to those questions. The group field is a user defined list to associate similar Sales or Inventory. The way you group your cars and your inventory is only limited by your imagination. You would use the group field if you wanted to know what happened by a particular segment of your inventory or sales. Most of the reports in Tracker for income, expected income, inventory, sales, and AR are able to be pulled by a particular group.

Inventory
You have the option to assign your vehicles to particular groups. For example, you may want to group your vehicles by location, buyer, seller, or type of vehicle. If this is done, you will be able to print or view inventory reports by group.

Sales
You have the option to associate similar types of sales such as (BHPH, wholesale, or retail) or (cars, trucks, and sport utilities). If this is done, you will be able to print or view sales reports by group.

How to Setup Group Codes:
  • Click the setup pull down menu
  • Select edit group codes menu item
  • Click on add
  • Enter the code and description you want for each type of group.
How to Assign Groups to Vehicles:
  • Edit the vehicle you want to assign to a group
  • On the edit tab, click on the group drop down list
  • Select the appropriate group
How to Assign Groups to Sales:
  • Edit the sale you want to assign to a group
  • On the client tab, click on the group drop down list
  • Select the appropriate group
