Information on the Gramm-Leach Bliley Privacy Act.
Dealership compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act and the Federal Trade Commission's Implementation rule became mandatory on July 1, 2001. NIADA is offering 3 ways to comply with the new federal laws.
Manheim does not recommend any of the solutions, but recommends consulting an attorney when picking a solution to comply with this law.
The Solutions that NIADA provides:
- Create a Customized Privacy Policy for your Dealership online by visiting www.interresponse.com.
- Purchase a Compliance package created by NIADA general council.

- Purchase pre-printed privacy policy and opt-out forms from NIADA or your state association.

The Privacy Policy that you choose to create can be programmed for printing from the Tracker Software. Please remember, we do not create the forms, just program the data to print on the form. We highly recommend consulting an attorney before creating the forms.

- Manheim Tracker now offers downloadable manuals for its products. We currently offer three: BookKeeper Basic Training, Tracker Suite Setup Guide and Peachtree Interface Tutorial. For downloads, please go to the www.trackeronline.com site, click on "Support", then click on "Manuals". Look for new enhancements and manuals in this section soon.

- The Tracker forms are not being handled directly by Tracker. Please call customer support at (800) 543-8085 for details on companies providing this service.

- If you have submitted a refund request via e-mail or telephone message, please be assured that we are processing all requests. The refund will be in the form of a check or credit for credit card orders and will be issued within 30-60 days as of the date of the request. - The Tracker office will be closed September 3 in observance of Labor Day.
