DID YOU KNOW?

Tracker has grown significantly over the years, but did you know we still use the same hot keys we used in the DOS version? We have also added some new ones, here they are.

F1:    Hit F1 while your cursor is in any field and you will get context sensitive help on that screen.
F2:    This key opens "Take a Payment/Funds" from anywhere in the program.
F3:    This key opens the "Collections" module with BHPH Enhancements registered.
F4:    Use this key to log on and off the program when you use passwords in Tracker.
F5:    Changes the current company or change the data path for a Network location.
F6:    Opens the Quick Cost screen.

Like many Windows programs, Tracker also uses underlined shortcut keys on all the menus, allowing you to use your keyboard instead of the mouse. Look across the top of the Tracker screen at the actual drop-down menu options. You should see an underlined letter in every menu option. If you do not, just hit ALT S, this will initiate the Sales drop-down. Now you should see all the underlined characters. Once you initiate the drop-down, you can either hit the underlined keys in the drop-down options or use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight the option you want. Hit "Enter" on the keyboard and you have opened the option you highlighted. It is just that easy.

Once inside a module, Add/Edit Inventory for instance; Simply use the tab key to navigate all the fields and tabs on the screen. You can go to different tabs by watching to see when the "dashed outline" is around the different tabs. Once a tab is "highlighted," you can use the right and left arrow keys to navigate through the tabs.
